Hunting and Fishing Licenses

The Tax Collector serves as an agent of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission by being the primary source for the sale and issuance of a variety of hunting and fishing licenses. The Tax Collector may designate and authorize, at her discretion, various sub-agents; such as "bait and tackle" dealers, sporting goods stores and retail outlets to sell and issue these licenses, as well.

Hunting and fishing licenses may also be purchased or renewed by telephone for an additional fee. To renew or purchase a fishing license call 1-800-347-4356 or for hunting licenses call 1-800-486-8356. A valid hunting and/or fishing license must be carried on his or her person when participating in these activities (unless exempt).

Hunting Licenses

NOTE: Persons born on or after June 1, 1975 cannot purchase a hunting license unless they show proof of successful completion of a hunter education safety course. You may contact the Panama City office of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission at (850)265-3676 for class times.

Hunting Licenses are annual permits that expire 12 months from the date of purchase: (Both residents and non-resident licenses are available.)

Annual Fishing Licenses and permits expire 12 months from the date of purchase. (Both resident and non- resident licenses are available. )

Pay your property taxes in four quarterly installments rather than one lump sum payment. To enroll in the program for 2010, please submit a completed Property Tax Installment Plan Application by April 30. Download an application under the Property Tab on the Forms Menu.
