Tax Certificate Sale

The 2010 Tax Certificate Sale concluded at the close of business on June 1, 2011. Results of the sale are available on the sale site. Certificates struck to the county will be available online for purchase at 8 AM on July 1. The sale site is www.waltontaxsale.com.

Those interested in purchasing county held certificates will be required to register online to obtain a bidder number, complete an IRS W-9 form, and pay the face amount of the tax certificate plus a $6.25 per certificate purchase fee. The county held certificates will be sold in a similar fashion to the �Buy It Now� feature on Ebay. Interested bidders should register at the sale site prior to July 1 to ensure all banking information is available upon the start of the sale.

Don't Empty Your Bank Account All At Once

Pay your property taxes in four quarterly installments rather than one lump sum payment. To enroll in the program for 2011, please submit a completed Property Tax Installment Plan Application by April 30. Download an application under the Property Tab on the Forms Menu.
